Marie Puryear
My name
is Marie Puryear and I am a born and raised
Austenite. Growing up, I held my father's hand;
wedding after wedding as he photographed each and
every detail of brides and their special moments. I
would throw fits when my Dad told me we were yet
again going to photograph another wedding. Little
did I know that, at age 6, I was beginning my
career.
Raised in
Austin, and thanks to my dad, I was given the
opportunity to get to know firsthand the contacts
that I would need to make it in this business.
I
began working for Balcones Country Club in the
Catering Department. I swiftly gained experience and
was promoted to Service Director. In June 2007,
shortly after beginning my tenure at BCC, I was
blessed with my beautiful, red headed son, Aidan.
During this busy time, after all my hard work I was
promoted as the Food and Beverage Director/Catering
Director. I began to take on much more
responsibility. With this position, I managed over
30 employees, 2 clubhouses, planned and catered to
all events, as well as being in charge of all
clubhouse operations. It was a very time consuming
job so I decided to make a change. In turn, I moved
to Twin Creeks Country Club where I took the open
Catering Director position. Having a new clubhouse
to work with was an awesome, new opportunity for me
and with that I have conducted many weddings and
events here that have been very successful. With
this experience I found Keri and she that saw my
talent and ability to lead others and took me on as
her Sales/Marketing Director. Working with Keri has
been a true pleasure. I look forward to assisting
her in helping make event dreams come true for years
to come. |
